You can nominate up to
10 Fandoms
10 Pairings per fandom

Only "&" relationships will be accepted
So nominations signifying platonic and gen relationships, i.e. "Chucky E. Cheese (Chuck E. Cheese's Animatronic Shows) & Ronald McDonald (Burger King "The Burger King" Commercials)"
Nominations with "/" will be deleted, or the nominee will be asked to change their nomination.

Solo nominations will not be accepted at this time

Crossovers are eligible
Nominations should go under Crossover Fandom with the character's fandom indicated
Ex. "Batman (DCU) & Bilbo Baggins (Hobbit)"

Original Works are allowed
For Original Works, please specify the gender of the characters you're requesting, i.e. "Female Accountant & Non-binary Journalist", otherwise your Match will have to decide that for you.

Please check already-approved tags before you start nominating

Nominations of Character & Group are allowed
But any member(s) of said group will be considered to be fulfilling the requirements, i.e. "Bilbo Baggins & Thorin's Company" - Creator can include all/any members of Thorin's Company.

RPF is allowed
But nominated people have to be 18+ and famous in their own right. Government officials and politicians, as well as world leaders, will not be accepted. If the proof of age cannot be easily found, the nomination will be rejected. We reserve the right to reject any nomination that could be distressing to other participants.
Relatives/significant others are not allowed unless they are also public figures.

“Creator’s Choice of Fandom” will not be allowed

We do not allow Reader&Canon Character to be nominated in any form
Neither do we allow Y/N at this point

If you care for the gender of your OC, please disambiguate it, ex. "Original Male Character(s) & Edward Elric"

Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, and the Marvel Netflix universe of shows are also all separate fandoms
• Star Wars nominations should be nominated under the appropriate movie, trilogy, TV show, etc (Andor, Rogue One, Star Wars Legends), "crossovers" should be put in "Star Wars - All Media Type"
• Star Wars - please don't pipe the noms, state if you're, for example, interested in Darth Vader, or Anakin
• Boruto and Naruto should be separate nominations
• Nominate Star Trek characters by their series/book/movie, Alternate Original Series should be its own thing
• DC Comics: Main-continuity DC comics, including pre-Flashpoint and New 52, will be under "DCU (Comics)". Other DC universes will be separate by universe
• Arrowverse: Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Constantine, Batwoman, Black Lightning, and Legends of Tomorrow tv shows can be nominated together as "DC's Arrowverse"
• Dragon Age: Please nominate under "Dragon Age (Video Games)"
• Stargate - please disambiguate (ex. Stargate - Atlantis, Stargate SG1)
• The Witcher - please nominate the games under "Wiedźmin | The Witcher (Video Game)", the books under their own tag, etc

Hi! I noticed that there is a nomination for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. PMD has several games, as it is a wide series: the original Rescue Team games, Explorers, Gates to Infinity, Super, and others. There is also an anime adaptation and a manga spin-off.

I believe that the current nominated relationships are all for the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky games. Grovyle & Player Character and Chatot & Wigglytuff are two major relationships that are introduced and prominent in Explorers, for example. Some characters do make cameos in other games, but the canon continuity of Explorers -> Super is rather suspect IMO.

The nomination of Partner Pokemon & Player Character is much more ambiguous, because in all PMD games, the Partner and Player are never named and are players' choice. I think this could result in confusion during signups - is the request for the Player & Partner in the original games, PMD2, Super...?

Could you ask for a clarification if the nominator meant all Player & Partner pairings, or if they were thinking of the PMD2 duo? Thanks!

For now, we don't allow nominating Player Characters if they are a "self insert" and wouldn't be standalone characters without a player. Is that the case here? (To add an example, we've not allowed nominations such as "Goofy & Player Character (Disney Dreamlight Valley)", because according to the nominator the PC there couldn't qualify as a fully fledged character. That seems to be the case here as well?)

However, if that's not the case, I can totally ask for clarification. Do I understand correctly that entail asking to specify the specific medium the noms showed up in? I'm afraid I am a bit lost when it comes to that fandom.

My response will concern the game series, not the anime adaptations or manga. To cut down over-explanation, I will explain the typical PMD experience. Like, yes, in Gates you don't even have the option for a quiz, but that's the exemption to the rule.

IMO, I think that PMD's Player Characters can be thought of as standalone characters. In this situation I would ask the nominee for their stance, though, because there is an sizeable portion of the fandom does use the Player as a self-insert or made into their own OC. You do have to enter a personality quiz and are asked to provide your own name, but these quizzes have no impact on the story and literal personality of the actual character. The Player character is almost always a silent protagonist, if that influences your thoughts on self-inserts at all.

If the nominee intended for the Player to be their own personal Player character, in that in their hypothetical signup they would provide their desired name, gender, and species, then I would say that describes a self-insert. If they intended for it to be Creator's Choice, I would say the Player is a standalone character.

(This is what I would do, not a strong suggestion) If the nominee doesn't respond to inquiry, I would err on the side of caution and drop all relationships that involve the Player.

There's a few ways the fandom & relationship nominations can be categorized, yes. Actual suggestion time: I would have an all-encompassing fandom of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - All Media Types, and relationships to be nominated with the relevant media in parentheses: Player Character & Partner Character (Rescue Team), Player Character & Partner Character (Explorers), Player Character & Grovyle (Explorers), Chatot & Wigglytuff (Explorers), etc.

If they truly meant to nominate all possible combos of Player and Partner, perhaps it could be changed to Player Character & Partner Character (All) or something similar?

I shall ask for clarification, then. I think the idea of having All Media Types would be better than having countless PMD subcategories flying around, I'll try to implement it if the almighty AO3 allows me.

After giving it some thought, I think we'll delete the Player Character nomination for now, since it's basically a blank slate for the player to dress up.
